**Tips for putting caps on:

It helps to warm the caps a bit, which can be done by breathing on the caps, or using a blow dryer
Warmth softens the plastic of the cap, then you can use your fingers to stretch opening a bit wider
It helps to start on the round end, then wiggle the opening over the heel corners one at a time
Don’t be afraid to use lots of pressure and force; the caps won’t get damaged

Many dancers opt to wear heel protectors over the plastic tips of their ballroom heels. The protectors are an extra added layer to prevent wearing on the plastic heel tips, and they help prevent marking and wearing on the dance surfaces.
